Hello! I am a Graphic Designer, Photographer, and Social Media manager and marketer residing in beautiful Southern Oregon. I have spent much of the past few years heavily involved in community building through event organization and publicity. I like to think that I have an eye for details, even the ones most people don't notice. A peer once commented that I "... spend a lot of time choosing fonts", to which I replied "if I do my job right, you won't notice at all". I love looking for the little things that tie everything together; the way ecosystems intertwine, the way pathways connect our hubs of activity, and the way graphic elements unite visual communication. Thank you for taking the time to view my work; please feel free to reach out to me if I can answer any questions for you!
Testimonials:
"Jordan's graphic design work with the Queer Resource Center at Southern Oregon University has been both beautifully designed ways to convey messages about an event/initiative, and avenues of transcending community awareness and activism. Jordan's work embodies the ways to convey information, and allow people to appreciate the work as it is- to start a conversation, or think more fully about a specific topic."
- Thomas Arce, Coordinator for the Queer Resource Center
“Jordan's work in digital art and photography exceeds my expectations. When I asked him to help create the poster for the film festival, his attention to detail and creativity capture my co-worker and I's vision of the festival's theme: tackling gender norms in LGBTQ+ community through films."
- Asela Lee Kemper, Campus and Community Engagement Specialist at Southern Oregon University for Americorps
"Jordan played an instrumental role in our Earth Week publicity team! In addition to his useful contributions in our months-long planning process, Jordan took on the lead role in designing and coordinating our calendar of events posters and rack cards. This was a huge undertaking, as there were more than 20 events and almost as many collaborating partners. Jordan was able to synthesize a lot of information into a visually appealing and readable format. Plus, Jordan is super easy to work with- he communicates professionally and keeps his cool under changing and sometimes conflicting needs from various partners."
- Jill Smedstad, Environmental and Community Engagement Coordinator for Southern Oregon University
"Working with Jordan to bring ideas to life has been great. Jordan listened, presented drafts, and received feedback well while still keeping his personal touches as an artists in his work. The work for Trans Day of Remembrance this year as amazing some of his best!"
- Demitra Olague, Educational Outreach Coordinator for the Queer Resource Center
"I have worked with Jordan extensively to market various QRC events throughout the 2017-18 academic year. In addition to being excellent at the design work, he was a pleasure to collaborate with. Jordan was always punctual, committed to the work, and had amazing insights on communication."
- Willow Parker, Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the QRC
"Jordan is a collaborative and talented graphic artist, who always maintains a high level of ethics and professionalism in his work. When facilitating conversations with students in the Queer Indigenous Studies course at Southern Oregon University, Jordan provided both technical and creative support to the students as they developed publicity materials for the end-of-the-quarter gathering that the class organizes."
